The problem
Every standard, every safety rule, every improvement you've invested in has to go through one person to reach the floor: the frontline supervisor. Most of them were your best operators. Then they got the keys and were expected to figure out the rest.
The cost shows up in turnover, scrap, overtime, and safety, and almost all of it traces back to the person running the shift.
Most supervisors know they were never trained. Most plant managers know it too.
Spear Point™ fixes it in three weeks.
What they walk away with
Set the day's priority and standard in two minutes, without panic.
Written in plain language, posted where the work happens, defended every time.
One script to correct, coach, and settle conflict without the drama.
Short, sharp check-ins that replace the yearly form nobody reads.
Daily, weekly, and monthly habits that keep it going after the training ends.
How it works
Presence on the floor, the shift briefing, and writing standards nobody has to guess at.
Correcting, coaching, handling conflict, and running reviews, practiced live on real situations.
Sorting what hits you during a shift, goals that matter, building the leader under you, and a 30-Day Plan each supervisor commits to.
An on-site follow-up to see what stuck, compare before and after, and hand out certificates.
Your plant picks the day and time each week. Another shift runs as its own cohort.

Who teaches it
Richard Walsh has owned and run businesses for 35 years. He's a former U.S. Marine and the author of three books, including Sharpen the Spear, the field guide this training is built on, and The Invisible Layer.
He teaches supervisors the way he learned to lead: on the floor, under pressure, with no fluff.
Built for the people who sign off
Your supervisors come back the next shift with a common language and the same expectations.
You open the first session with a 5-minute welcome, hand out certificates at the 30-day follow-up, and get a private debrief afterward on what changed. No individual report cards: patterns, what needs your backing, and the people we see stepping up.
A structured program with an assessment, a certificate, and a 30-day follow-up that measures application, not attendance.
It supports your existing policies, including when supervisors should bring issues to you.
Questions
For four hours a week, for three weeks. We schedule around production and your plant picks the day and time each week. A shift overlap usually works best.
No. The 30-day follow-up is built in. Certificates are earned there, after 30 days of putting it to work, not on the last day of class.
We can run sessions at a shift overlap so both shifts attend together, or run a separate cohort for another shift, priced as its own cohort.
Yes. We'll meet with your steward first if you'd like. The training is about consistent, fair leadership, which is what most members want.
It may qualify for state incumbent worker training funds in Wisconsin or Illinois. We'll help you check.
Options include a second cohort for another shift or your leads, one-on-one floor coaching for specific supervisors, or a full Frontline Command Infrastructure™ install that builds these habits into every shift and measures whether the standards hold. None are required.
Next step
